Year of the Bible: Part One of Twelveনমুনা

Noah Finds Favor in God's Sight.
Stop here and read today's scriptures.
We see here that God's heart is filled with pain, and he regrets having created humans on the earth. We see a candid version of God's emotion here and cannot deny His regret is real. The Baker Illustrated Bible Handbook tells us that verse 6 "emphasizes God's 'tender' emotions rather than his 'raw' emotions. Noah's behavior, however, is countercultural. He stands out among his peers and is righteous and blameless, walking with God.
Question: Do you stand out in your "world" as someone who follows God? If not, look for opportunities to pray for someone right then and there when they tell you about a need or difficulty. Watch for ways to do what is right, even when no one is looking. Be attentive to ways you can represent the character of God to others by not being judgmental but instead loving them right where they are.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to help you:
• Stand out among your peers.
• Be righteous and blameless.
• Walk with God.
