The Power of Pre-Decidingনমুনা

When we combine the power of pre-decision with the power of purposing or determining to honor God, we will make more and more God-glorifying decisions with our lives.
The power of purpose kicks in when you have already predetermined and pre-decided in your mind and heart that your choice and action have already been made, and they will be Godly decisions before even getting to the fork in the road of that decision. You will make the right choice because you have already made up your mind and predetermine you will, so there’s nothing or no one who can sway your decision.
The Bible tells us in Daniel 1:8 the story of Daniel not eating the king’s food. It says he “purposed in his heart” that he would not sin against God by eating food offered to idols.
Daniel had already made up his mind or pre-decided that he would not eat the king’s food because he knew it would go against what God had pre-established for him as a Hebrew.
The Bible also tells us a double-minded person can expect nothing from the Lord. Double-mindedness is often the detour to destruction. The Lord honors and reinforces those decisions we make ahead of time to glorify Him. Making one good pre-decision can be the momentum you need to see a catalyst of positive change, which turns into a habit that becomes a value. Values are the compass that guides the way in which we live our lives and the decisions we will make. So let us pre-decide to have Christ-centered core values for our lives.
