Prayer Secret: Activate Angelic Help Prayer is the art of communication, intimacy and solidarity between humans and their Creator! And one way God responds to this touching of hearts is to send angels on our behalf. He will activate and assign angels in answer to our prayers, to help us receive supernatural breakthrough. Angels or “ministering spirits” are assigned to serve the purposes of God in our lives—whatever form that service might take. The Greek word minister is diakoneó , meaning “to wait at a table, aid or to serve” (Strong’s G1247). The Bible gives us a great deal of evidence of their activity and visitations. Angels appeared to Jacob in a vision going up and down a ladder to heaven. An angel fed Elijah a cake of bread and gave him water. While Daniel was in the lions’ den, God sent an angel to his rescue to shut the mouths of the lions. God sent an angel with prophetic messages to Mary, the mother of Jesus. He sent an angel in dreams to warn Joseph of imminent danger concerning the Child. An angel from heaven encouraged and strengthened Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Following the temptations in the wilderness, the devil left Jesus and “angels came and ministered unto Him.” When Peter and other apostles were imprisoned for preaching about Jesus, God sent an angel to rescue them so they could continue to share the Good News with others. Why is angelic help so much a part of our lives? Because there is a battle occurring in the unseen realm. God opened the spiritual eyes of Elisha’s servant to see an angelic army surrounding them on a hill with horses and chariots of fire ready to go to war for them. Angels are closely engaged in our spiritual conflicts. We cannot fight against the devil without them. Without their assistance we cannot carry out or fulfill our assignments as commanders of prayer. Angels are assigned to our prayers! God will not deploy them until we employ prayer. Next time you think about praying for something or someone, remember you have more with you than against you ready to bring your prayers to pass. Arise in prayer! Activate God’s ministering angels who are standing guard to help you break through. Pray this with me: Father, guide me in all Your ways. Send angels to watch over me and those I love. Teach me how to partner with angels so I will not miss what You have predestined for me. I want to learn more about these ministering spirits.
