"To Follow Him Involves Repentance"
Matthew was a greedy tax collector who would collect more than required to keep the extra for himself. Jesus called Matthew to follow him not because he is good man or a qualified person to serve Him. He called him because Jesus knew Matthew will repent and commit to His calling. Matthew turned away from his sins, his old way of living, and turned toward God with a new living style. Follow Jesus with a new mind set and a new life.
Jesus Lord, we want a breakthrough. We want a new wine skin for new wine so that we can overcome our old thoughts, old living styles, which were not pleasing to you. Help us to build a closer relationship with you. Amen.
