Psalms in 30 Days

DAY 22 OF 30

## Morning Prayer: Call to Prayer (read Isaiah 40:3) Confession of Faith I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. The Apostle’s Creed Canticle (read Revelation 15:3-4) Read Morning Psalm 107 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Intercessions and Personal Requests: Prayer of the Church Stir up your power, O Lord, and with great might come among us; and, because we are sorely hindered by our sins, let your bountiful grace and mercy speedily help and deliver us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen. The Book of Common Prayer Blessing (read 2 Corinthians 13:14) ## Midday Prayer: Call to Prayer (read Philippians 1:2) Read Midday Psalm 108 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Blessing (read Numbers 6:24-26) ## Evening Prayer: Call to Prayer (read John 8:12) Confession of Sin Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen. Canticle O gladsome light, pure brightness of the everlasting Father in heaven, O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed! Now as we come to the setting of the sun, and our eyes behold the vesper light, we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices, O Son of God, O Giver of Life, and to be glorified through all the worlds. Phos Hilaron Read Evening Psalm 109 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Intercessions and Personal Requests: Prayer of the Church Lord Jesus, let me know myself and know you, and desire nothing but you. Let me humble myself and exalt you. Let me think of nothing except you. Let me die to myself and live in you. Let me accept whatever happens as from you. Let me banish self and follow you, and ever desire to follow you. Let me fly from myself and take refuge in you, that I may deserve to be defended by you. Let me distrust myself and put my trust in you. Let me be willing to obey for the sake of you. Let me cling to nothing save only to you, And let me be poor because of you. Look upon me, that I may love you. Call me that I may see you, and forever enjoy you. Augustine Blessing The Lord Almighty grant us a peaceful night and a perfect end. Amen.
