HEARTBEAT I have found what love is, I won’t stop for nothing. Got me dancing through the trial to the rhythm of your heartbeat. Rhythm /ˈriT͟Həm/ a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound. Everyone loves being in a good rhythm, whether it’s dancing to the beat of your favorite song or the Friday night routine you share with your best friend. When we spend a lot of time with someone we tend to pick up their habits and patterns. It’s like we’re in sync. It’s easy to stay synced up with your best friend because of your constant connection. You have a 400 day streak going on snapchat, you Facetime on the regular, and you’re together almost every weekend. You’re in a rhythm. God desires that same level of connection with us. He wants His words and promises to be the soundtrack of our lives, so we always have a reason to dance. God wants us to bring Him all our worries and doubts in exchange for His peace and comfort. He wants us to sit with Him so He can share His heart with us. Think about that for a minute… Jesus wants to do life with you and just like the right rhythm can keep you dancing to the music, the right rhythm with God can keep you dancing through your trial. Worshiping God through songs is one way we find our rhythm with Him because it creates the perfect space to sync up with His heart. That’s why we sing, “I can’t get enough of you. You’ve got my heart with everything you do.” You will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
