What Do You Treasure? “Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.” Luke‬ ‭18:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬ What do you value more than God? Does your wealth sit higher than God? Do you value your influence with man more than your relationship with God? Choose to turn from overvaluing your Earthly treasures and surrender to God. Who is your God? Who leads your heart? What leads your heart? Who controls your footsteps? Who advises you? Proverbs‬ ‭11:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” The Bible declares that in the multitude of Godly counselors, there is safety. The Bible does not state, “In the multitude of “gods” there is safety.” Don’t turn people into gods. Don’t turn your relationships into gods. Choose to submit to God’s Way of doing things. Have faith, trust and confidence in God and let Christ lead your path. Hebrews 11:1 AMPC declares, “NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” Surrender to God and allow Him to lead your path. Have faith in God and let Christ surround you with Godly Counselors. Let God surround you with wise counsel. Who’s your Counsel? Surrender to the Counsel of God, pray and seek His Face — allow Christ to lead and chart your course. Choose to treasure God over the things of this world. Choose to obey God. Let God lead you. Let God fill you with His Wisdom. Let God lead your life. Choose not to serve other gods — He is King. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have fallen away from Him, simply say this prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I repent of my sin. I turn to You. Father, I receive Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose just for me. I believe that His blood washes me and cleanses me from all unrighteousness. Father, in You, I am set free. Father, through the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ my past is history and my future is bright. Father, In You, I am made new. Father, in You, I am complete. Father, in You, I am made whole.
