Who’s Your Diligence Counsel? Choose to surround yourself with those who are more wise, diligent, prudent and mature than you. Proverbs 11:14 states, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” In the multitude of diligent, wise and seasoned counsellors you’ll find success. Your ways are established when you seek and surrender to God. When you follow His Word and establish your life around His Blueprint (His Word) you will get His results. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for ‘counsel’ is ‘ tachbulah ’ (H8458) which means: “good advice, (wise) counsel, direction and guidance” Seek God’s Word for His advice. Follow after Christ and He’ll lead your course. Let God’s Word strengthen your heart and guide your hands. When you diligently seek after God’s Way, instead of presumptuously pursuing after your fleshly desires, you will reap His results. Follow His path and He will not lead you astray. Jeremiah 29:11 NLT states, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” God wants to give you good results — His Way. Success is in His hands. When you diligently submit your heart to Him and kill your flesh of selfish desires, God will order your steps. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, your vocation, or your position or title — diligence is a choice. You don’t need a title to diligently serve and obey God. As you diligently obey God in the C-Suite, in the Board Room, at the negotiating table, in the classroom, in government or even as a door operator — you will get His results at every level as you diligently obey Him. Diligently choose to follow God’s Way of doing things no matter your level of influence or socio-economic status. Diligently steward your season — no matter your title, level or socio-economic status choose to faithfully steward the resources that God has given. Can God trust you with what He’s gifted you today? Action: Pray and ask God to surround you with men who diligently follow God’s Word and whose lifestyle reflect His Character and His Heart. Ask God to clear out and remove those from your circle who don’t have His Heart or follow after His Voice.
