Day Two

Jesus said that we should live in constant forgiveness towards others (see Matthew 18:21-22) and that you will not be forgiven by God if you do not forgive others (see Matthew 6:15). So extend grace and forgive people when they fall short, just as God has forgiven you when you have fallen short (see Romans 3:23-24).

Thank God that He doesn’t treat us the same way that we treat others so often. Whether you're verbal about your judgment or are simply keeping it in your head, God sees both and wants to remind you that you are not The Judge; He is. The Lord sees what you cannot. God is the Perfect Judge and you are not. And by the way, don't try to act like your negative judgment, gossip, and slander are discernment; it isn't. We can’t look down on someone or assume certain things about them just because they aren’t the way we want them to be.

Once again, I am not condoning sin. Sin is sin is sin is sin, that never changes, but you are not The Judge; God is. Don't ever forget that. "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you" (Matthew 7:2).

A timeless word of advice from a Christian author who lived during the 1400s is this:

“be not angry that you cannot make others as you wish them to be, since you cannot make yourself as you wish to be.“

There are always going to be people who drive us crazy, but oftentimes, those are the people who need God’s love through us the most. You might see them as a burden, but God put them in your life so that you can share His love with them. Just ask God, and He will show you what to do. When God speaks, He always speaks in alignment with, never contradicting His one and only perfect Word—the Bible—no matter what you feel. God's Word is truth.
