This Thing Called Mercy

DAY 1 OF 4

Mercy is a mystery.

It is not something you can work for, earn, or buy. Mercy is the singular prerogative of Elohim, the sovereign choice of God to show compassion to whom He will. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.

There is general mercy - the air we breathe and the rain that falls on both the righteous and the wicked. But there is also sovereign mercy, the kind that singles out a person or a nation for remembrance. It is the mercy that rewrites stories, lifts the forgotten, and turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.

This thing called mercy is a mystery. A person may do everything right and still not find it. Another person may fail and yet be lifted. That is the mercy of God.

Prayer:

Lord, make me a candidate of Your mercy. May I not be hardened like Pharaoh but softened like Peter. Show me compassion I do not deserve and withhold punishment I may deserve. Let Your mercy speak for me and my house forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.

As you walk in the mercy of God, we weclome you to join us at The Prevailing and Borderless Church.

About this Plan

This Thing Called Mercy

Mercy is a divine mystery, a gift given by God to those whose hearts are open to receive it. It cannot be earned or bought, yet it transforms everything it touches. The Lord delights in showing mercy, choosing when, where, and to whom He extends it. Through this plan, we explore the dimensions of God’s mercy: not receiving the punishment we deserve and receiving the blessings we do not deserve. As you journey through these teachings, may your heart be softened to receive His mercy anew, and may your life become a living testimony that mercy still speaks.
