Believe God Is Powerful

Paul reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Fear doesn’t come from God, but it comes from things that try to silence your faith. When we meditate on God’s Word and remember His mighty works, courage begins to rise. Dwight L. Moody once said, “When we find a man meditating on the words of God, that man is full of boldness.”

God’s power doesn’t mean you’ll never feel afraid; it means fear will never define us. We won’t make decisions based on fear, we’ll make them based on faith in the Lord.

Respond to God’s Word:

Ask God to fill you with His Spirit today. When fear comes, speak the truth: “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power.”
