Holistic HealthНамуна

Many Christian teachings focus heavily on spiritual health, but often overlook the importance of physical well-being. Yet God has given us our bodies to use, enjoy, and care for during our time on earth.
So, how are we treating them?
· Are we exercising regularly?
· Are we eating nourishing food?
· Are we resting—and resting well?
Caring for our physical health helps us live out our divine purpose and serve others more effectively. Proverbs 17:22 reminds us, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Our physical state impacts our spiritual life and our ability to hear from the Holy Spirit.
What we eat, how we move, and how we rest affects every part of our being. Proverbs 25:27 warns, “It is not good to eat too much honey…”—a reminder that too much of anything, even good things, can throw us off balance.
Here are a few simple habits to support physical health:
1. Sleep well – Aim for 6–7 hours, starting before 9pm.
2. Unplug – Turn off your phone at night. The world can wait.
3. Start with God – Spend 10–15 minutes in quiet time each morning.
4. Eat wisely – Nourish your body, but allow a treat day once a week.
5. Move daily – Walk, play, stretch—just get your body active.
6. Rest in God – Lean into Him for true rest.
7. Enjoy life – Embrace the joy God offers.
8. Be kind – Your health blesses others too.

About this Plan

Do you ever feel like life’s out of balance—juggling family, work, and faith until you’re exhausted? Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 that God wants us whole in spirit, soul, and body. Instead of juggling, think like a plate spinner—giving each area just enough care to keep it moving. With God’s help, we can stay steady by tending to five key areas: physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, and financial. True balance isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about being intentional and letting God bring peace and order to every part of your life.
