The Real You God Sees

I know what it feels like to walk into a room and wonder if you really belong there - to question if people can see what’s missing before they see what’s meaningful! Can you relate? Well, I’ll tell you that David knew that same feeling, too! When Samuel came to anoint Israel’s next king as instructed by God, everyone more than likely expected someone stronger, older, experienced or more impressive. But God chose the one nobody even thought to invite to the lineup...David! The youngest of the bunch who was out tending to the sheep!

Maybe you’ve been in that same place in life, feeling overlooked or underqualified. Thinking, no one would pick someone like you! But, here’s the truth: God never overlooks the ones He intends to use. He sees the heart that’s been refined in those hidden seasons that no one sees, the faith that’s been molded in the field! The real you, the one He created, is exactly who He wants to use! Yes, YOU! You don’t have to perform for His approval; you already have His attention! It’s a blessing to know that no matter what room I step into, God can still use me, like He can still use you! He still sees you when others look around or don’t even consider you! Let us be reminded that God does not choose by our appearance; He chooses by our authenticity! When He looks at you, He sees the heart He crafted, not the flaws we choose to fixate on!
