It seems like no time at all—a “vapor,” as Scripture describes it in James 4:14—before parents face the day when their sons and daughters will leave the nest and fly off on their own. Part of anticipating that launch includes gradually giving them additional responsibilities and greater independence. Let’s think about preparing for the time when our children are officially grown.
