For who were the people who turned a deaf ear? Weren’t they the very ones Moses led out of Egypt? And who was God provoked with for forty years? Wasn’t it those who turned a deaf ear and ended up corpses in the wilderness? And when he swore that they’d never get where they were going, wasn’t he talking to the ones who turned a deaf ear? They never got there because they never listened, never believed.

while it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

while it is said, “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME.”

This is what the Scripture says: “Today listen to what he says. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God.”

while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

while it is said, “TODAY [while there is still opportunity] IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME [in the rebellion in the desert at Meribah].” [Ps 95:7, 8]

Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

For again, the Scriptures say, If only today you would listen to his voice. Don’t make him angry by hardening your hearts, as you did in the wilderness rebellion.

As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
