GOD said, “What have you done! The voice of your brother’s blood is calling to me from the ground. From now on you’ll get nothing but curses from this ground; you’ll be driven from this ground that has opened its arms to receive the blood of your murdered brother. You’ll farm this ground, but it will no longer give you its best. You’ll be a homeless wanderer on Earth.”

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.

Then the LORD said, “What have you done? Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground.

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.

And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

The LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s [innocent] blood is crying out to Me from the ground [for justice]. [Num 35:33; Deut 21:1-9]

But the LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!

YAHWEH said, “Listen—the voice of your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground! What have you done?
