1 John 2:20-21

God does all the heavy lifting in our relationship with Him. He sent Jesus to save us. He gives us the faith to believe. He gives us the ability and desire to obey, but He doesn't make us do anything. To experience God, we must choose Jesus. The book of 1 John encourages believers to remember that God is light and love and therefore to live lives that reflect that light and love with one another and the world.
