MATTEÜS 2:10

Every good story has a plot twist—an unexpected moment that changes everything. One of the biggest plot twists in the Bible is the Christmas story. Over the next five days, we’ll explore how this one event changed the world and how it can change your life today.

In Charles Wesley’s famous Christmas hymn, “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus,” we sing that Jesus is the joy of every longing heart. This Advent, discover how the divine orchestration of human events and various responses to his coming, exposes the longing of our hearts. From kings and rulers to shepherds and expectant virgins, Jesus’ advent reveals what we treasure. Find him the joy of your heart this Christmas.

This three week plan walks us through the timeless wonder of how God came to us through His son, Jesus. The plan is designed to begin on a Monday so that each weekend will include shorter content meant for rest and reflection during the holiday season. Join us as we study what the birth of Christ means for our future, present, and past.

On a quiet night 2,000 years ago, angels brought news of the Savior’s birth to shepherds tending their flocks—and after hearing the news, those same shepherds left everything to seek a baby in Bethlehem. All these years later, the invitation has not changed. Join Dr. Charles Stanley as he helps you draw near to the Savior, encouraging you to make time to rest in the Father’s love this season.
