Next, reflect as you re-read Nahum 1:7-8. Ask God to send his Holy Spirit to help you understand the central theme of Nahum - God will bring down the wicked and rescue the oppressed. No empire, no matter how powerful, can escape his justice. Like an unrelenting storm, he will judge evil, but for those who seek refuge in him, there is peace.
