තමන් දිවැස් වැකි පවසන කාලය තුළ වැසි නො වසින ලෙස අහස පියවන්නට මොවුන්ට බලය ඇත. තවද ජලය ලෙයට හැරවීමටත්, තමන් කැමති හැම විටෙක කවර අයුරක වුව වසංගතයකින් පොළොවට පහර දීමටත් බලය ඔවුනට ඇත. ඔවුන් තම සාක්ෂිය නිම කළ විට, පතුලක් රහිත අගාධයෙන් නැගී එන මෘගයා ඔවුන් හා යුද්ධ කර, ඔවුන්ගෙන් ජය ගෙන, ඔවුන් මරා දමනු ඇත. ඔවුන්ගේ මළ කඳන්, සොදොම හා ඊජිප්තුව යයි සංකේතාර්ථයෙන් හැඳින්වෙන, ඔවුන්ගේ ස්වාමින්වහන්සේ කුරුසිපත් කරන ලද මහ නගර වීදියෙහි බාවා තිබෙනු ඇත. ජනයින්ට, ගෝත්‍රයන්ට, භාෂාවන්ට හා ජාතීන්ට අයත් වූවෝ දවස් තුනහමාරක් ඔවුන්ගේ මළ කඳන් දෙස බලා හිඳිමින්, ඒවා සොහොනක තැන්පත් කරන්නට ඉඩ නො දෙනු ඇත. මෙම දිවැසිවරුන් දෙදෙනා පොළොවේ වාසය කරන්නන්ට වධ දී තිබූ හෙයින්, පොළොවේ වාසය කරන්නන් ඔවුන් ගැන ප්‍රීති වෙමින්, විනෝද වෙමින්, එකිනෙකාට තෑගි යවනු ඇත. එහෙත්, ඒ දවස් තුනහමාරට පසු, දෙවියන්වහන්සේගෙන් ජීවන හුස්ම ඔවුන් තුළට ඇතුළු වුණෙන්, ඔවුහු දෙපයින් නැගී සිටගත්හ; ඒ දුටුවන් පිට මහා භීතියක් පතිත විය. එවිට ස්වර්ගයෙන් උස් කටහඬක්, “මෙහි නැගී එන්නැ” යි කියනු ඔවුනට ඇසිණි. එවිට ඔවුන් වලාකුළකින් ස්වර්ගයට නැගී ගියේ, ඔවුන්ගේ සතුරන් බලා සිටියදී ම ය. ඒ පැයේදී ම තදබල භූමිකම්පාවක් විය. නගරයෙන් දහයෙන් කොටසක් ඉන් බිඳ වැටිණි. හත්දහසක ජනතාවක් භූමිකම්පාවෙන් මළහ. ඉතිරි වූවෝ භීතියට පත් ව, ස්වර්ගයේ දෙවියන්වහන්සේට මහිමය දුන්හ.
