ඔය බල්ලන්ගෙන් පරෙස්සම් වන්න! ඔය දුෂ්ටකම් කරන්නන්ගෙන් පරෙස්සම් වන්න! ඔය මාංසයේ අංග-ඡේදන කරන්නන්ගෙන් පරෙස්සම් වන්න! මන්ද සැබෑ චර්මඡේදිතයෝ දෙවියන්වහන්සේගේ ආත්මයාණන් මගින් නමස්කාර කරන, ක්‍රිස්තුස් යේසුස්වහන්සේ තුළ පාරට්ටු කරන, මාංසය කෙරේ විශ්වාසය නො තබන අපි ම ය. ඕනෑ නම් මාංසය කෙරේ විශ්වාසය තැබීමට හේතු ද මට ඇත. මාංසය කෙරේ විශ්වාසය තැබීමට තමනට හේතු ඇතැයි යමෙක් සිතන්නේ නම්, ඊට වැඩි හේතු බොහොමයක් මට තියේ: ඉපදී අ‍ට වන දින චර්ම-ඡේදනය ලදිමි. ඉශ්‍රායෙල් ජාතිකයෙක්මි; බෙන්යමින් ගෝත්‍රිකයෙක්මි; හෙබ්‍රෙව්වන්ගෙත් හෙබ්‍රෙව්වෙක්මි. ව්‍යවස්ථාවට අනුව, පරිසියෙක්මි; උද්යෝගයට අනුව නම් සභාවට පීඩා කළ කෙනෙක්මි; ව්‍යවස්ථාවෙන් පිළිගැනෙන ධර්මිෂ්ඨකමට අනුව නම් දෝෂ නැති කෙනෙක්මි. එහෙත් මට වාසිදායක වූ ඒ දෑ ක්‍රිස්තුස්වහන්සේ උදෙසා දැන් අවාසි ලෙසින් සලකමි. එපමණක් ද! මා ස්වාමියාණන් වූ ක්‍රිස්තුස් යේසුස්වහන්සේ හැඳින ගැනීමේ පරම උතුම්කම හා සසඳන කල, අන් හැම දෙයක් ම අලාභයක් සේ සලකමි. උන්වහන්සේ නිසා සියල්ල මට අහිමි වුවත්, මා ඒ සියල්ල කුණු-කසල ලෙසින් සලකන්නේ ක්‍රිස්තුස්වහන්සේ අත්කර ගනු පිණිසත්, මා උන්වහන්සේ තුළ සිටින පිණිසත් ය. එය අත්කර ගන්නේ ව්‍යවස්ථාවෙන් එන මගේ ම ධර්මිෂ්ඨකමින් නො ව, ක්‍රිස්තුස්වහන්සේ ඇදහීම මගින් එන, ඇදහිල්ල මත දෙවියන්වහන්සේ වෙතින් එන ධර්මිෂ්ඨකම මගිනි. මට වුවමනා ක්‍රිස්තුස්වහන්සේ හා උන්වහන්සේගේ නැවත නැගිටීමේ බලය දැනගැනීමටත්, උන්වහන්සේගේ මරණයෙන් උන්වහන්සේ හා සමාන බවට පත් වෙමින්, උන්වහන්සේගේ දුක්-පීඩාවනට පංගුකාරවීමටත්, මෙසේ යම් අන්දමකින් මළවුන්ගෙන් නැගිටීම අත්කර ගැනීමටත් ය.
