නුමුත් මරියා සොහොන්ගෙය ළඟ පිටත හඬමින් සිටියාය. මෙසේ ඈ හඬන්නී, නැමී සොහොන්ගේ ඇතුළ බැලුවාය. එවිට යේසුස්වහන්සේගේ ශරීරය තබනලද ස්ථානයෙහි සුදු වස්ත්ර හඳනාලද දේවදූතයන් දෙදෙනෙක් එක්කෙනෙක් හිස ළඟද එක්කෙනෙක් පාද ළඟද ඉඳගෙන ඉන්නවා දුටුවාය. එකල ඔව්හු: ස්ත්රිය, මක්නිසා හඬනවාදැයි ඇගෙන් ඇසුවෝය. ඈ ඔවුන්ට කථාකොට: මාගේ ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේව අහක්කොට ගෙනගොස් කොතැන තබනලද්දේදැයි මා නොදන්නා නිසායයි කීවාය. ඈ මෙසේ කියා, ආපසු හැරී, යේසුස්වහන්සේ සිටිනවා දුටුවාය, නුමුත් ඒ යේසුස්වහන්සේ බව ඈ නොදත්තීය. යේසුස්වහන්සේ: ස්ත්රිය, නුඹ මක්නිසා හඬනවාද? කවරෙකු සොයනවාදැයි ඇගෙන් ඇසූසේක. ඈ උන්වහන්සේ උයන්ගොව්වායයි සිතා: ස්වාමීනි, නුඹ උන්වහන්සේව ගෙනගියානම්, උන්වහන්සේ කොතැන තැබුවාද කියා මට කිව මැනව, මම උන්වහන්සේ ඉවත්කොට ගෙනයමියි කීවාය. යේසුස්වහන්සේ: මරියා කියා ඈට කීසේක. ඈ හැරී හෙබ්රෙව් භාෂාවෙන්: රබ්බෝනියි උන්වහන්සේට කීවාය; එහි අර්ථය ආචාරිනි යනුයි.
