Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of God, to those who believed in His name

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.

The true Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
