This devotional explains the believer’s identity in Christ. Salvation is a complete transformation, not an improvement of the old life. Through Jesus, the old self is crucified and a new creation is born. This new life is given by God and is not based on human effort. A believer is now defined by God’s view, not by the past or opinions of others. The power of sin no longer controls them because the old nature has died. The believer is alive to God and called to live in righteousness, walking daily in the reality of this new identity in Christ.
