Hope for the Weary: Finding Strength & Renewal in the Resurrection

DAY 1 OF 7

Hope That Rises

Scripture: Luke 24:6-12

Devotional:

Hope is not an idea; it is a Person. On Easter morning, hope walked out of the tomb, alive and unstoppable. The women who came to honour Jesus’ body expected to find death, but instead they found an empty tomb and a message that changed history: “He is not here; He has risen.”

Easter reminds us that God does His best work in places that look hopeless. The disciples were grieving, confused, and afraid. Their dreams had collapsed. Their future felt uncertain. Yet in the very place where hope seemed lost, God was quietly preparing resurrection.

We often look at our own lives and see tombs; places where something ended, broke, or didn’t turn out the way we hoped. But Easter teaches us that God is not intimidated by dead places. He brings life where life seems impossible.

Hope rises not because circumstances improve, but because Jesus lives. His resurrection is the guarantee that darkness does not win, despair does not have the final word, and death is not the end of the story.

Reflection:

Where do I need to remember that hope is alive because Jesus is alive?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for rising and bringing hope with You. Help me see my life through the lens of Your resurrection.
