Seek the Lord: Teaching Kids How to Worship GodSample

What Does It Mean to Seek the Lord?
1 Chronicles 16:11 — “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually.”
In 1 Chronicles 16, King David had just brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. The Ark was a special symbol of God’s presence with His people. The people were celebrating because they knew God was with them.
David stood before everyone and gave them instructions. He told them:
“Seek the Lord.”
This was not just advice. It was a command for all God’s people.
What Does “Seek” Mean?
To seek means:
- To look for something carefully
- To give effort
- To want something very much
If you lose something important, you search for it. You look under the bed. You look in drawers. You do not stop until you find it.
God wants us to seek Him like that.
Seeking God means:
- Choosing time to pray
- Reading His Word
- Listening when He speaks
- Wanting to know Him better
God is not hiding from us. He wants to be found.
❤Why Is This Important?
Many people seek:
- Money
- Popularity
- Games
- Success
But the Bible says we must seek God first.
When we seek Him:
- He gives us strength
- He guides us
- He helps us make wise choices
Let’s Think About It....
What do you spend the most time thinking about?
Is God first in your heart?
