A Couples' Bible Plan for Your Honeymoon or VacationSample

Rest and Recovery
Congratulations. You're on your honeymoon!
I bet you've dreamed of this day all your life and have a million expectations of how it should go. But here's where you'll have to hit the brakes.
Marriage doesn't begin with activity and exertion. It starts with rest.
Remember Adam? God created him on the sixth day, and the very next day was God's rest day. In other words, Adam's first full day was a day to pause, relax, and unwind. The first days of your marriage should be like that, too.
Resting will help you recover from the stress of organizing a wedding and avoid post-wedding blues. Nearly a third of newlyweds experience such deflation, exhaustion, and sadness right after their big day. For some, it kickstarts a downward spiral in their marriage.
When you rest, you'll find yourself refreshed, recharged, and in a better mood to enjoy your marriage.
While sleeping is a big part of relaxation, mental and emotional rest are also key. Decide that for the period of the honeymoon, you won't have any banters or disagreements.
Ready to recharge?

- Where do you need to slow down instead of rushing?
5 Resting Ideas:
