​Day 1: Hidden Beauty (Skins and Gold)

​If you had walked through the desert and seen the Tabernacle from the outside, you probably wouldn't have been impressed. The outer roof was covered with badger skins (or sea cow skins, depending on the translation)—a dark, tough material with no visual appeal. It protected against the sun and sand, but it had no shine.

​However, inside, everything was different. Once you crossed the threshold, you were surrounded by walls of pure gold and curtains of exquisite colors.

​This is the first great lesson about Jesus. The prophet Isaiah said of Him: "He has no form or comeliness... and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him." In His humanity, Jesus looked like a common man, a carpenter from Nazareth. But for those who enter into a relationship with Him, they discover the glory of the "pure gold" of His divinity.

​The world views Christianity from the outside like those dark skins: rules, prohibitions, or something "outdated." But you, who are inside, know the beauty of His presence. God does not build facades to impress the public; He builds interiors full of glory. Do not worry if your life currently looks like a desert on the outside; if Christ dwells in you, there is gold within.

​Reflect and Act:

1. ​Are you judging your spiritual life by how your external circumstances look (the skins) or by the peace God gives you inside (the gold)?
2. ​Is there someone in your life whom you have judged by their appearance, ignoring the value God has placed within them?

​Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You because Your beauty is not superficial. Thank You because, although the world rejected You for Your humble appearance, I have discovered the treasure of Your divinity. Help me not to live by appearances, but to cultivate the inner wealth of Your presence in my heart. Amen.
