Safe and Secure in Christ - 2

DAY 1 OF 7

THE SECURITY OF OUR SALVATION

Key Verse:
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

The security of our salvation lies not in our ability to hold on to God, but in His power to hold on to us. The same hand that saved us is the hand that keeps us. When Christ died on the cross, He paid the full price for our redemption, satisfying God’s justice once and for all (Romans 3:24–26).

Many believers still struggle with fear: “What if I fail?” “What if I don’t make it?” These questions stem from a misunderstanding of grace. The Bible says that “God, who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion.” God doesn’t start what He cannot finish. Salvation begins with Him and continues through His sustaining grace.

It is God who saves, sanctifies, and secures us. Even when we stumble, His grace lifts us. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice… I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” (John 10:27–28). Eternal means forever. The Believer’s life is hidden with Christ in God—a place no enemy can reach.

So, stop trying to earn what Christ already secured. Let faith silence fear. Trust the One who promised to finish what He started.

Reflection:
Do I rely on my effort to stay saved, or on God’s power to keep me?

Prayer:
Father, thank You that my salvation rests in Your hands, not mine. Help me to trust Your faithfulness and live with confidence in the security of my salvation through Christ. Amen.
