SITTNG DUCK -
Picture this: An entire nation of about three million people stands at the shore of the Red Sea as their enemy draws closer and closer from behind. They hear the rumbling of thousands of horses and chariots like thunder during a storm. Panic quickly rises in the hearts of each person as tension grips the air. If they do not escape right now, they risk becoming slaves again under the brutal rule of their previous masters. They’re trapped! Suddenly, the voice of their leader cuts through the chaotic gibbering like a knife saying, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” As they wait for something to happen, their leader lifts up his hands to the heavens, firmly gripping his staff across both hands. What happens next sends the nation into shock as the sound of the moving waters blot out the galloping of their enemies...
