The Mind of Christ

The highest goal of every believer is to become like Jesus. He is not only our Saviour but also our pattern. The more we understand His way of thinking, the more we can live the kind of life He lived on earth.

The mind of Christ is not just about intelligence or knowledge. It is about seeing and responding to life from God’s perspective. Jesus faced pressure, opposition, and misunderstanding, yet He always thought and acted in alignment with the Father’s will.

Philippians 2:5 (NKJV)
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Having the mind of Christ means learning to value what God values. It implies humility instead of pride, obedience instead of stubbornness, and love instead of self-centeredness. The world teaches us to chase recognition and success, but Jesus teaches us to serve and submit.

Think about how Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. The Creator of the universe chose to kneel before His followers to teach them that greatness in God’s kingdom begins with humility. That single act reveals the heart of Christ’s mind, which is to put others before self and to honour the Father through love.

The mind of Christ also means trust. Jesus never doubted the Father’s plan, even when it led to the cross. His confidence was not in circumstances but in relationships. If we adopt that same posture, life becomes simpler. We stop fighting for control and start resting in God’s wisdom.

Renewing your mind to think like Jesus is a daily process. It happens as you study the Word, pray, and allow the Holy Spirit to shape your thoughts. Every time you choose forgiveness over anger, peace over worry, and faith over fear, you are growing in the mind of Christ.
