Fact, Lie, and Truth

DAY 1 OF 10

Fact, Lie, and Truth — The Big Picture

Life confronts us with three voices: facts, lies, and truth. Facts are visible, but incomplete. Lies are crafted commentaries meant to derail us. Truth is God’s eternal verdict. Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:17).

Facts can change; lies deceive; but truth stands forever. When you confuse facts for truth, you’ll panic. When you swallow lies, you’ll sink. But when you anchor in truth, you’ll stand unshaken. Faith doesn’t deny facts; it dethrones them with truth.

Think of Peter walking on water. Fact: water doesn’t hold men. Lie: “You’ll drown.” Truth: “Come.” Which one he believed determined whether he walked or sank. Facts describe reality; lies distort reality; truth defines reality.

Reflection / Prayer

Reflection: Where have you allowed facts or lies to shape your outlook more than truth?

Prayer: Lord, anchor me in truth and help me silence the lies.

Faith Confession

I walk by truth, not by sight. I silence lies, submit facts, and stand in God’s verdict over my life in the name of JESUS CHRIST! Amen.

Daily To-Do List

1. Write down one fact you’re facing today.

2. Identify the lie attached to it.

3. Replace it with a scripture that declares the truth.

About this Plan

Fact, Lie, and Truth

Life often confronts us with three voices: facts, lies, and truth. Facts describe the visible and temporary. Lies distort reality to trap us in fear, shame, or unbelief. Truth, however, is God’s eternal verdict—unchanging, liberating, and victorious. This 10-day devotional plan is designed to help you discern between these three voices, silence the lies of the enemy, submit facts to God’s Word, and anchor your life in truth.
