Fulfilling God’s Purpose for Your LifeSample

The Son, God’s Template for Man
When God said, “Let us make man in our image,” the image He had in mind was the Son. The Son is the express image of the Father, the visible expression of the invisible God. Man was patterned after Christ even before Christ came in the flesh.
Ephesians 1 tells us that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. That means before Adam ever stood in Eden, God had already seen us in the Son. The goal was that the Son would be the firstborn among many brethren. This depicts a family of sons bearing the same image.
Purpose, then, is not separate from this design. Every assignment God gives aligns with His eternal goal: to make you like His Son. You can never fulfill purpose apart from Christ because He is both the pattern and the destination.
In making you like Jesus, God restores what was lost in Eden. This is dominion rooted in righteousness. The more you are conformed to Christ, the more your life reveals the beauty and wisdom of God. Every season and challenge you face shapes you to look more like Him.
Ultimately, your highest purpose is not what you do but who you become. It is you, as a reflection of the Son, who perfectly pleased the Father.
Prayer Focus:
Lord Jesus, you are the pattern of my life. Shape me into Your image and let Your character be formed in me. May everything I do reveal Your likeness and bring glory to the Father.
