Cultivating The Giving Grace VI

We have learned how having a giving plan is necessary to grow in the giving grace. This helps your focus in exercising the grace at work in you to abound in all good works. The essence of a giving plan like every other plan is to stretch with the grace of God into a new level of growth. It is like giving new targets and engaging grace to accomplish it.

At the turn of every year you should have a giving target for the new year. You should not just have a turn over goals for your business, you should have corresponding goals for your giving. I am yet to see a man who excels in giving who doesn’t set new goals and standards to their giving on a regular basis. Your giving plan includes both targets and strategies to achieve your giving goals.

You should have a minimum amount you intend to be giving as your offering. Many Christians continue to give the same amount they did as offering when their income was just a tenth of what they currently earn. They give traditionally not intentionally. The Bible talks about the believer’s reasonable service. That implies we must, at the very least, be reasonable in what we offer to God. It is against logic to continue giving the same offering despite the increase in your finances.

Your increase must reflect in your giving. That is the overarching purpose of God for prospering you. That you will be able to give more to His cause and advance His purpose on earth
