Here Comes the SonSample

The Promise Kept
From the first moment sin entered the world, God began to reveal his plan to rescue humanity. In the book of Genesis, he spoke of a future victory where the offspring of a woman would crush the serpent’s head. This was the first promise of a Saviour, spoken into the darkness of the fall.
Throughout Scripture, God kept reminding his people that a Redeemer was coming. The prophet Isaiah said that a virgin would conceive and give birth to a son called Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” Another prophet, Micah, revealed that this child would be born in Bethlehem, a small and humble town that would become the birthplace of the King of Kings.
Centuries passed, and people waited. Many may have wondered if God had forgotten his word. But when the moment was right, Paul tells us that God sent his Son, born of a woman, to redeem the world. The plan that began in Eden reached its fulfilment in Bethlehem. Jesus’ arrival was not a coincidence or a reaction to human failure; it was the unfolding of a divine promise made from the beginning.
Every prophecy, every sign, every story in the Old Testament pointed to this moment. Through the birth of Jesus, God showed that he never stops working behind the scenes. His promises may take time, but they are always certain. The same God who fulfilled his word through Jesus is still faithful to complete what he has spoken over our lives.
Think about a promise from God’s Word that you hold onto. Write it somewhere you will see every day this week. When doubts or delays come, remind yourself that if God fulfilled his promise to send Jesus, he will also be faithful to fulfil every promise he has made to you.
