When God Says “Wait”Sample

When God Says “Wait”

DAY 1 OF 3

When God Says “Wait”

Waiting is one of the hardest things to do. Whether it’s waiting for a job, a child, or the right relationship. Delays can test your faith. But waiting isn’t punishment; it’s preparation. Joseph waited thirteen years for his dream to come true. David waited decades between being anointed king and actually sitting on the throne. Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth waited years to have children. Yet, in every delay, God was building something inside them - strength, patience, and trust.

The danger of impatience is that it tempts us to take shortcuts. Like Abraham and Sarah did with Hagar, we sometimes try to “help” God. But shortcuts lead to sorrow. God’s promises may take time, but they are never late. While you wait, seek God more deeply. Ask Him what He’s teaching you. Waiting time doesn’t have to be wasted time. God may be preparing your heart, healing old wounds, or equipping you for what’s ahead.

So don’t rush ahead or look for quick fixes. The One who wrote your story knows the right timing for every chapter. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking in faith. Your waiting will not be in vain.

Reflection Question: What is one lesson God might be teaching you through your current waiting season?
