Becoming Love: If We Start at Finish, Where Do We End? (Part 1)Sample

Day Two - Jesus and the Samaritan Woman
Have you ever felt like an outsider?
In John 4, Jesus meets a woman at Jacob’s well. A Samaritan woman. A person society had written off. A person who carried with her the identity of shame. A person who had no business speaking with Jesus. An outsider. And yet Jesus crosses every barrier—gender, culture, reputation—to offer her something no one else could: living water.
Jesus intentionally took a detour here. There was no natural reason for Him to be here at this well. John 4:4 says Jesus had to go through Samaria. He’s driven by love.
He didn’t wait for her to come to Him. He stepped into her world. He crossed every barrier she had put up to keep herself from experiencing love. And when He did, her life changed forever. In one conversation, Jesus fulfils all her needs, not just her physical thirst. It’s not the water that changes her; it’s the revelation that she had just met the God who is love that changes her and drives her to become the first evangelist to share this good news.
But here’s the challenge for you and me: Jesus calls us to do the same - to meet the outsiders. He calls us to carry living water to them. He calls us to become love as He did.
This is the kind of love that crosses barriers. It’s sacrificial and practical.
Who is God asking you to step toward today - someone who feels overlooked, unseen, or left out? Take a step. Speak a word. Offer hope. You might be the well where someone meets Jesus.

About this Plan

The Christian life is not only about knowing truth but about becoming truth in action—people through whom the love of God is made visible in our world. This journey begins as we receive God’s love personally, allowing His Spirit to shape our hearts, renew our minds, and align our lives with His purpose. In this study, we will discover what it means to become love. Note: This is Part 1 of a 4-part reading plan.
