The Road Home: Reflections of a ProdigalSample

As we move from our study of the word "repent," we will begin to focus on the word "return."
Hence, we will return to our anchor story of the Prodigal Son.
Have you ever witnessed a joyful reunion or a long-awaited reconciliation? What were the circumstances?
How did it impact you being a part of this return?
What strikes you as you picture the return in this parable?
What kind of picture do you get of how God is describing Himself from this parable?

About this Plan

Jesus tells the parable of the Prodigal Son to a crowd of tax collectors and sinners, the unsavory people of that time. The Pharisees stand by in judgment. As we read together, we will explore the themes of repentance, returning, and rejoicing. Hopefully, we will be challenged and encouraged as we reflect on our own seasons and events that draw us back towards the Father – only to find Him running towards us!
