The Carpenter God Entrusted

DAY 7 OF 7

Faithful to the End

Joseph is a man we don’t hear a single word from in the Gospel, but his life speaks for itself.

He was there when it was necessary to flee to Egypt. He was there when someone needed to work, raising Jesus. He was there when there was a need in just his being there. His faith was not loud but was steady.

This world often values those who speak, but God values those who stay. Faithfulness is not an emotion, but a habit of a heart that has chosen to trust. Joseph never craved being in the spotlight, but it was his silence that became part of God’s plan.

God is not looking for perfection, but He is looking for faithfulness. Those who don’t give up, when the world forgets to say, “Thank you.” Those who serve offstage, but with their hearts open. And, perhaps, it is in such quiet faithfulness that the character of our Heavenly Father is reflected in the best.

Maybe later, while watching Jesus grow, Joseph was sitting in his workshop, working near and smiling. He, probably, did not even realize that his personal example was teaching the Son what true faithfulness was.

Quiet questions in the workshop:

  • What does it mean personally for me to be faithful till the end?
  • How does my faithfulness look like in ordinary things, such as work, relationships and ministry?
  • Can I stay committed even when no one notices it?

Joseph teaches us that faith is not about loud claims, but about quiet faithfulness. God had entrusted His Son to him and Joseph responded to this with his life, full of obedience, care and love. His story shows us how an ordinary person can become a part of God’s miracle. Christmas is not just a remembrance of God coming to this world, but also an invitation that allows Him to act in our everyday life. May our heart become a workshop where trust and faithfulness are born over and over again, as well as silence that allows us to hear God’s voice.

Prayer:

God, thank You for Joseph’s way – for his silence, courage and faithfulness. Thank You for showing me through his example how an ordinary person can become a part of Your miracle. Teach me to be attentive to Your voice, faithful every day and ready to respond to Your trust. May my heart become a workshop where You create something new for Your glory. Amen.

Thank you for taking this plan together with us! We hope these days of prayer helped you to get closer to God, hear His voice, and live with new clarity, power, and hope.

About this Plan

The Carpenter God Entrusted

Christmas is more than just a story about a child born in a manger. It’s also a story about a man who, in silence, trusted God even though everything around him was screaming that it was impossible. Joseph, a simple carpenter from Nazareth, became a man to whom God entrusted the most precious – His Son.
