As if God couldn’t handle THAT! 😄

We humans can grow weary of life so quickly.

Things don’t go as planned, and we’re ready to give up. Disappointed in a flash. We start saying things like, “Nothing ever works out for me,” without even thinking. No pause to consider: “Maybe it has to go this way because it’s part of the plan.”

When the people of Israel were FINALLY on the edge of the Promised Land, ready to enter… What happened? Not just one, but two classic “figures this would go wrong, too” moments.

First, the Jordan River was blocking the way. “How in the world are we supposed to cross that?” And second? Moses died. The one man who had made all the decisions for them up to this point—gone.

“Looks like God’s letting us down again,” Tom probably muttered to his wife while they sat there eating, staring at the rushing river.

Wait… they were eating? In the middle of the desert? Oh, right—God had been feeding them every day with manna from heaven. 😉

It’s crazy how quickly we can get used to a miracle, isn’t it? For forty years, God literally rained down bread from heaven. 😲 (See Exodus 16:4)

Let’s not forget the blessing just because we’re in the middle of a challenge.

Why is that so important? Because God says, “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” (Matthew 25:21 NIV) Yes, even if you’re in the middle of disappointment, heartache, or another one of those “nothing goes right for me” moments. If you stay thankful for the blessings you have right now, you’ll experience even more of them!

That’s just how God is.

So, do you really think God can’t move in your situation, when He once made bread fall from the sky, and helped an entire nation cross the Jordan River on dry ground? 😉 Come on now…

You are a miracle!
