I'm New! What Do I Do?Sample

Lifelong Learning
Growing in Knowledge and Faith
Thinking back on this past week’s teaching can seem overwhelming. We covered a lot of big topics from the Bible. Don’t be tempted to give up. Remember, you’re new! Keep going to church. Don’t feel foolish if you don’t know everything right away.
Remember, you are loved. God loves you! Your good Father teaches you patiently. He waits and works with you while you learn. The pressure is off! You don’t have to know it all immediately. The Holy Spirit knows everything and will teach and remind you of these things.
In church, there are many people and pastors who love you. They didn’t know everything right away either, so you’re in good company! Don’t be afraid to ask questions or request help in understanding the concepts you’re learning.
Take some time to go back over this week’s lessons. What stands out to you and why? Is there anything you don’t understand or have questions about? Write those topics and questions down and bring them to your next meeting with your faith-filled friend. They will either have a great answer or enjoy finding the answer with you if they don’t know.
“DON’T GIVE UP!”
