The Promise of LightSample

Day 1 — Let There Be Light
Scripture: Genesis 1:1–4 — “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”
Devotional Thought: In the beginning, God’s first spoken words pierced the darkness with light. That same creative power still shines into the shadows of our lives. Advent begins with this truth: the God who spoke light into existence is the same God who brings light to broken hearts. Even when the world feels chaotic or dim, His light is not overcome. As we start this season, we remember that hope was God’s first gift, and it still shines today.
Prayer Prompt: God, speak Your light into the dark corners of my heart. Help me see Your presence even when things feel uncertain.
Daily Challenge: Light a candle (or turn on a small light) and pause for one minute. Reflect on how God’s light brings peace and order where there was once darkness.
