God Is Never LateSample

Which tree do you want to be?
Before starting in ministry, we would read the Word of God until we gradually emerged from mental slavery, allowing God to open up our thoughts. We didn’t have our own home and we were going through a difficult time. My father-in-law had some money and had already distributed his inheritance to several of his children, leaving my husband Ricardo and some of his brothers left to receive.
So he always told us, “if I manage to sell this property I will give you your inheritance”. Meanwhile we prayed, fasted, and cried out to the Lord for this business to be carried out, however when it happened, he would forget his promise. This happened several times until, while we were still very young spiritually speaking, the Lord taught us to put our trust in Him alone rather than the flesh and neither to lean on men.
God gave us the words of Jeremiah 17, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wilderness, and will not see when good comes, but will live in parched places in the desert, in an uninhabited wasteland. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose trust is the Lord.”
We then understood that this is what happens when we trust in man: our hearts turn away from God and we become cursed, because our trust must always be in God and never in man. My question for you today is: Which tree do you want to be? The one that dwells in the dry places of the desert, or the one planted by the waters? Which man do you want to be before God? One who brings a curse upon himself by trusting in men, or one who trusts only in the Lord?
In our case and to conclude our testimony, when we told the Lord that we would renounce the inheritance and instead place our trust in God alone, we began to see His blessing. It was a time of very difficult testing, in which He was preparing us for the ministry and teaching us to witness wonderful miracles. All we did was commit to Him and believe, and I can tell you that there wasn't a single day in the midst of that dreadful situation we were living that we didn't have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at our table. God always supplied, and even at the last minute He would send us His provision.
So, enough of that spirit of impatience, that spirit that prides itself against God that demands and wants everything now. For the God we serve is a God of miracles, and in the midst of trials, He takes the opportunity to take us higher and higher. Today, with complete authority because of my experience, I can tell you: God is faithful!
