Through My Father's EyesSample

Day 1: My Beloved
Definition:
1. Beloved: Dearly loved; dear to the heart (Merriam-Webster)
2. Honoured: Regard with great respect (Oxford Dictionary).
3. Precious: Of great value, importance, highly esteemed, or cherished. Of great value because of being rare and expensive (Cambridge Dictionary).
What if I told you that God regards you with great respect because you are honoured in His sight? I once asked this question to a friend, and she replied that she had never thought of God holding her in high regard, nor had she ever heard anyone suggest it. I then shared with her Isaiah 43:4 NLT, which states, "Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honoured, and I love you."
It’s easy to overlook these words, but it’s important to pause and truly reflect on their meaning. God is expressing His heart, telling you that you are precious, honoured, and loved by Him. How does that make you feel? To be honoured means to be regarded with great respect. Precious signifies being of great value, importance, and being highly esteemed. Beloved indicates being dear to His heart. How do you treat something precious, honoured, and loved? You handle it with care. You don’t take it lightly; instead, you treasure it, protect it, and value it.
In the same way, when God looks at you, He sees you as precious, honoured, and loved beyond measure. To see yourself as anything less than how God sees you is to desecrate something sacred and valuable. In doing so, we not only devalue ourselves but also invite others to do the same.
Today, God is saying to you, “You are my beloved, most dear to my heart.” This is the only perspective that is worthy of how you see yourself.
