Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11 NKJV).
When people are lost, how can you guide them?
The people of Athens were lost in idolatry and flawed philosophies. Paul addressed their need for Jesus, stating, "He [God] has made from one blood every nation..." (Acts 17:26 NKJV), reminding them of our common ancestry and sinfulness. Paul continued, "He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained" (Acts 17:31 NKJV). As Paul did, we should direct the lost to Jesus, who alone is the soul’s firm foundation.
My friends, there are so many lost and hurting people in this world, and Jesus has called us to be His hands and feet by sharing the gospel of peace with them. Please step out of your comfort zone and share the gospel today! When you encounter someone struggling with life’s questions, gently guide the conversation towards the hope and truth found in Jesus.
Employment Point: Direct the lost to Jesus, who alone is the soul’s firm foundation.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
