Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit (John 15:5 NKJV).
How can you thrive for Jesus?
God delights in those who seek His will through His Word. The psalmist describes such a person as one who meditates on God’s Law day and night, flourishing like a tree by rivers of water (Psalm 1:2-3). God causes the success of those who regularly meditate on His Word.
Take a few minutes to meditate on Scripture today. If you do not memorize Scripture, change your priorities and make time to hide the word of God in your heart. Also, apply what you have read. When you do these things, you will thrive in your relationship with the Lord.
Employment Point: Walk with Jesus by remaining in His Word, and He will cause you to thrive.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
