Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 162 OF 365

I find no fault in Him (John 18:38; 19:4, 6 NKJV).

Would there be enough evidence to convict you of being a Christian?

The Jewish authorities couldn’t make a case against Jesus. As Paul states, “And though they found no cause [‘cause’ is translated ‘fault’ in John 18:38; 19:4, 6] for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death” (Acts 13:28 NKJV). This highlights why Jesus qualifies as the unique, spotless Lamb of God.

Now, let's make this practical. Imagine if people scrutinized your life—your actions, your words, your decisions. Would they find enough evidence to label you a follower of Christ?

Take a hard look at your daily life. Are your actions and decisions in line with God’s standards? Strive to live with integrity, even when it’s tough. Aim to reflect Christ in everything you do, so that others can see the evidence of your faith clearly.

Employment Point: Live for Jesus, so that others could convict you of being a Christian.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
