35 Day Prayer Plan

DAY 9 OF 35

Day 9 – Interceding for Family & Friends

Friendship is one of God’s sweetest gifts, and like any relationship, it flourishes when rooted in prayer. Paul reminds us to look beyond ourselves and take a genuine interest in others. One of the most practical ways we do this is by praying for our friends to God.

Praying for friends is an act of love. It means we carry their burdens, joys, and needs to the one who knows them best. Sometimes a simple prayer can accomplish more than any advice or comfort we could offer. Prayer sustains friendships through trials and deepens them in seasons of joy.

Sometimes your friends and family will be too heartbroken to pray for themselves. You will be like Aaron and Hur in Exodus 17, holding up your arms in battle. You can engage in spiritual warfare for your loved ones and help them during difficult times.

Jesus called His disciples friends and prayed for them often. In the same way, our prayers for our friends invite God’s blessing and protection over their lives. When we intercede, we partner with God in His work in their hearts and circumstances.

Today, pray for your friends. Ask God to guide them, protect them, and strengthen their faith in every season.
