35 Day Prayer Plan

DAY 5 OF 35

Day 5 – God’s Kingdom in My Nation

Nations rise and fall, but God’s kingdom endures forever. The health of a country is not ultimately determined by its economy, politics, or military; its relationship with God determines it. In this verse, the Lord reminds His people that authentic restoration begins with humility, repentance, and prayer.

As believers, we are called to intercede for our nation. While we cannot control every decision leaders make or every cultural trend, we can kneel before the throne of heaven and seek God’s intervention. The most powerful change often begins, not in palaces or capitols, but in prayer closets.

When the nation of Israel was dedicating the temple, Solomon prayed a blessing over it. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV). This blessing would be something they would need when they moved into exile in Babylon, and this structure exists for us today in our nation. We need godly men and women to pray for their nation and expect God to heal their land.

When God’s kingdom comes to a nation, justice flows, mercy is extended, and truth prevails. Even in times of darkness, the light of His reign cannot be extinguished.

Today, pray for your nation to turn to the Lord. Ask for His mercy, justice, and kingdom to shape its future.
