35 Day Prayer PlanSample

Day 23 – Adoring God’s Love
Love is not just something God shows; it is who He is (1 John 4:8). To adore God for His love is to recognize His heart's depth, consistency, and self-sacrificial nature toward His children.
God’s love has been lavished on us through Jesus Christ. It is immeasurable. John doesn’t describe it as minimal or conditional, but abundant and overflowing. This love adopts us into God’s family, giving us an identity we could never earn. When we adore God for His love, we remind our souls of the greatest reality: we are fully known and fully loved by Him.
1 Corinthians 13 tells us what love looks like: patient, kind, rejoices with the truth, protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. Doesn’t that sound like our God? It also lists attributes not associated with love: envious, boastful, proud, rude, acting selfishly, easily angered, keeping records of wrongs, and delighting when evil triumphs. Doesn’t that sound like us?
Adoring His love allows us to aspire to the attributes we want to describe us. Adoration also helps us soak in the fact that God’s love is not fickle or based on our performance. His love sent Jesus to the cross. His love pursued us while we were still sinners. His love sustains us every single day.
Today, adore God for His unfailing love. Thank Him for adopting you as His child and rest in the assurance that nothing can separate you from His love.
